First baseman Christopher Brue just completed his junior season at Simpson University, where he led the Red Hawks in home runs (7) and slugging percentage (.643). A product of Bishop O’Dowd High School in Hayward, CA, the 6’3″ right-handed hitter began his college career at Cal State Monterey Bay. At NAIA Simpson, Brue played in 33 games in 2019, batting .316 for the Red Hawks, who played their home games at Tiger Field.
